Intraosseous infection of Salmonella species typically occurs in long bones children with hemoglobinopathies, like sickle cell anemia. Osteomyelitis the pelvis or vertebral body healthy is extremely rare. This especially so when occurring same period geographical area. Antibiotic treatment alone can be effective; however, case a persistent ongoing foreign situ , surgical drainage should considered.
